Good public speaking can help you captivate your audience and communicate messages effectively. You can impress your future employers, make a difference in your business, or inspire others if you can speak persuasively and confidently. Public speaking can also be a leadership skill, as many great leaders use their speeches to influence people.

In this workshop, you will be introduced to:

  • the 'key' characteristics of an effective public speaker
  • how you can become a good public speaker
  • other students who are interested in improving their public speaking with the view to forming groups for further practice
  • the LC’s resources relevant to improving your public speaking skills

Each workshop lasts 50 minutes. Booking online is highly recommended, although walk-ins are possible subject to availability. Due to limited places, you are advised to come earlier in the semester.
